As a Personal Trainer and Health Coach, I always want to put my best face forward.

Along with taking skin tips from the ladies at Project Skin MD, I always make nutrition a priority to help me get my glow on. These three things are saviours to my overall health and skin:

Lemon water.

One of the best ways to get glowing is to hydrate and improve your digestion. For the past 10+ years, through all my travels, I’ve been pretty faithful to having my morning lemon water upon waking. I always feel better and notice improvements in my digestion when I do! Studies suggest it does the following: flushes the digestive system and rehydrates the body (warm water can also do this), boosts metabolism, stimulates proper stomach acid production and bile production (happy liver & lymph system), boosts immune system and helps collagen production with Vitamin C content.

WithinUs TruOrganic™ Matcha Misto is a great way to get your glow on and feel great! It’s extremely high in antioxidants and nutrients, and contains up to 5x as much L-Theanine as regular green tea! L-Theanine is a relaxing and non-dietary amino acid found almost exclusively in teas from the Camellia Sinensis plant. It promotes alpha waves, which lead to a state of relaxed alertness and have been shown to increase levels of dopamine and GABA in the brain! One cup of matcha is nutritionally equivalent to 10 cups of brewed green tea! Each scoop of Matcha Misto + Collagen also contains 2.4 grams of collagen, about half the daily recommended serving. Hydrolyzed marine collagen generates bioactive peptides, which enhances the production of collagen, skin hydration, hair growth, and joint health. For an extra collagen boost, you can add a 5g scoop of withinUs Trumarine™ Collagen for healthy hair, skin, nails and joints. withinUs TruMarine™ Collagen is a hydrolyzed peptide, and benefits are not lost by mixing the product into hot beverages such as our Matcha Misto.

Green smoothie.

Ever wonder why the staff at Project Skin MD is often chugging back a green smoothie? They are packed with antioxidants (to neutralize free radicals that accelerate aging), omega-3 fatty acids (to reduce inflammation), greens (to renew and repair the skin), and so much more! The best part? They’re delicious!
