Fraxel® re:pair is ideal for the patient seeking a dramatic improvement to the health and beauty of their skin in a single treatment—without the inherent risks and recovery of surgical procedures and general anesthetic. Fraxel® re:pair laser treatments are customized in our Vancouver clinic to each patient and treatment area. Telltale areas of premature aging, like the eyes and mouth, can be treated independently or in conjunction with a lighter, full-face treatment.

As Canada’s first Fraxel® treatment provider, our physicians have developed advanced protocols for a variety of applications utilized worldwide for their safety and efficacy. Fraxel® employs a patented fractionated resurfacing technology. Ablative CO2 laser energy penetrates the skin in microscopic pixels, maintaining the integrity of the surrounding skin. Treated skin will begin healing within 48 hours, with redness and swelling lasting an average of 5 to 7 days and pinkness lasting an additional week. This is easily camouflaged with a touch of mineral makeup.

During a personalized assessment your treatment provider will work with you to create a treatment plan to meet your unique skin needs.
We will then take baseline photos for your patient file. These will be used to show you your results and serve as a reference over time.
We will review our consent forms with you, making sure to answer any questions before proceeding with treatment.

Most patients experience a stinging sensation as the pulses of energy are delivered through the handpiece. For a more comfortable experience, we apply topical anesthesia to all our patients prior to the treatment. Unlike the experience in traditional CO2 treatments, you will feel the heat start to subside within the first hour following your treatment.
The Fraxel® re:pair treatment uses a carbon dioxide (CO2) laser to vaporize microscopic columns of tissue deep within the skin. Fraxel® re:pair is a more aggressive procedure and is used to treat the most severe signs of skin damage.
Fraxel® re:pair uses patented fractional CO2 technology which creates microscopic laser columns in the skin. These columns target only a fraction of the skin at a time, leaving the surrounding tissue intact. This “fractional” treatment allows your body to heal the skin much faster than if the entire area were treated at once.
The wound healing recovery time for a Fraxel® re:pair treatment is typically 24-72 hours and generally longer than other Fraxel® treatments.
As your skin heals, you will see bronzing and peeling. There is no wound care, but you should apply moisturizer and sun protection as instructed. After the healing process, you can expect:
