It was with the vision of breaking traditional norms of how aesthetic medicine clinics operated that Dr. William McGillivray and his wife Bev McGillivray opened the doors of the first Project Skin MD® clinic in Vancouver, BC. It was then that they partnered with L’Oréal skincare brand SkinCeuticals to create the first North American SkinCeuticals Advanced Clinical Spa on the ground floor of the beautiful 6,000-square-foot South Granville facility.
With a carefully curated team of the true professionals alongside them, Project Skin MD® rapidly became a recognized and acclaimed brand locally, nationally, and internationally. In 2015, Project Skin MD was showcased to hundreds of dermatologists from around the world to share their unique approach during the World Congress of Dermatology. In 2016, they opened the first PS Glow Room, an innovative concept of a space dedicated exclusively to introductory medical aesthetic services, followed by a second Project Skin MD® clinic in Richmond, British Columbia in 2017. Now offered as an extension of all our Project Skin MD® clinics, our PS Glow Rooms hosts a variety of entry-level medical aesthetic treatments detailed here.
Recognized as Key Opinion Leaders in the industry, the Project Skin MD® founders have been invited to present the PS integrated skincare model at various meetings including the Master Physician Event in South Korea in 2018 and Cosmetic Update in Mexico in 2019.
It was clear that the admired PS Brand had a bright future ahead. With the mission to share our advanced knowledge of skin with as many people as possible, Project Skin MD® partnered with Canadian industry leaders, Functionalab Group, in February, 2019. In November, 2019, L’Oréal invested in Functionalab Group and announced their strategic partnership representing L’Oréal’s first investment in the medical aesthetic service industry.
