VBeam® Perfecta laser treatments make facial and leg veins, vessels and red spots (angiomas) a thing of the past. Using precise wavelengths, laser energy from the VBeam® Perfecta is absorbed by targeted vessels, which coagulate instantly. Over a recommended course of 1 to 3 treatments, cosmetic veins and vessels disappear. Featured on popular TV shows, including The Doctors, the VBeam® Perfecta, available at Project Skin MD® Vancouver, is recognized as a best-in-class laser for treating veins, vessels, red spots and facial redness from rosacea.

Immediately following VBeam® Perfecta treatment, skin can appear flushed and vessels may darken. The body’s natural cleansing processes will fade or clear the targeted veins and vessels over 8 to 12 weeks following each treatment. In some cases, we may recommend patients wear a compression garment for several days following treatment and avoid exercise and extreme temperatures to minimize the recirculation of treated vessels.
VBeam® Perfecta can be used to treat vessels on the face, including cheeks, nose and chin, as well as the legs.
During a personalized assessment your treatment provider will work with you to create a treatment plan to meet your unique skin needs.
We will then take baseline photos for your patient file. These will be used to show you your results and serve as a reference over time.
We will review our consent forms with you, making sure to answer any questions before proceeding with treatment.
Your technician will then proceed with your treatment. Utilizing precise wavelengths, laser energy from the VBeam® Perfecta is absorbed by targeted vessels, which instantly coagulate and soon disappear.

Patients should avoid blood-thinning medications, unless medically required, for 5-7 days before treatment. They should also limit sun exposure and self-tanners for 3 weeks before treatment.
Most activities can be resumed immediately following treatment; however, exercise or any activity involving heat should be avoided for 48 hours following your appointment. For example, saunas, hot tubs, hot yoga, and sun exposure are not recommended in the first two days after treatment.
Most skincare can be resumed following treatment. However, any strong exfoliant such as Vitamin A, Retinol, Glycolic/Salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide or irritants such as astringents should be avoided for 7-14 days. Patients should be diligent with mineral sun protection during this time—and always!
Many patients report few, if any, side effects. The most commonly experienced side effects include minor redness and local skin swelling. Some patients may experience bruising, and in rare instances, blistering may occur.
Most treated vessels will improve significantly within 2 to 6 weeks following your treatment, with final results emerging 8 to 12 weeks after your treatment.
Most patients experience a stinging sensation as energy pulses are delivered through the handpiece. Although no local anesthesia or pain medication is typically required, some patients opt to use a topical anesthetic prior to treatment.
