Dr. Jacky Lo

Dr. Lo understands the skin you’re in! A practicing family physician with a special interest in dermatology, Dr. Jacky Lo grew up here in Vancouver and completed his medical and family medicine training at UBC.

Dr. Lo brings a wealth of diverse knowledge, education and experience to the Project Skin MD Team. He received his Bachelor of Science with Honours as a Dietetics major before continuing on to medical school. His experience goes far beyond a strong education in family medicine, having completed dermatology rotations at UBC, University of Calgary, University of Toronto, University of Manitoba, and Oregon Health and Science University. He also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Practical Dermatology with honours from Cardiff University, and was previously a registered dietitian with the College of Dieticians of BC.

As a respected expert in his field, Dr. Lo is constantly evolving and training. He is an active board member of the Primary Care Dermatology Society of Canada and remains committed to his ongoing education in dermatology; constantly ahead of new advancements in medical and cosmetic dermatology.

Dr. Lo is full of surprises as well. He has traveled to 11 different countries and counting, is an avid horror movie fan, and is tri-lingual – fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin! Dr. Lo is also a published author; his work has been published in both the Journal of Cutaneous Medicine and the Surgery Journal of Current Clinical Care. Dr. Lo loves spending time with his family and friends, staying active with Crossfit, and trying out new restaurants.
