During treatment, light is delivered to the hair follicle and when absorbed by a living hair, it is transformed into heat that destroys the follicle and prevents the hair from growing back. Multiple hand pieces enable a customized treatment experience; a large, vacuum-paired hand piece treats large areas (like the legs and back), while a small, chill-tip hand piece targets smaller, more delicate areas, all with little to no pain and in record time.
In as few as 6 to 8 treatments, medical-grade laser hair removal can permanently reduce unwanted hair from virtually any area of the body. Before treatment, patients are encouraged to shave only – no tweezing, waxing, etc., which would remove hair follicles.
Laser hair removal works by emitting a wavelength of laser energy, specific to the colour and depth of the hair. The hair within the follicle absorbs the laser energy. Over several days, disabled follicles are ejected from the body.
Laser Hair Removal can be used to treat most areas on the face and body. The most common areas include the underarms, groin, legs (half or full), arms and upper lip. For male patients, popular treatment areas include the chest, back and beard. Numerous areas can be treated during a single session.
During a personalized assessment your treatment provider will work with you to create a treatment plan to meet your unique skin needs.
We will then take baseline photos for your patient file. These will be used to show you your results and serve as a reference over time.
We will review our consent forms with you, making sure to answer any questions before proceeding with treatment.
Your treatment provider will first shave the treatment area, and then proceed with treatment delivering laser light energy to the treatment area.

We do not offer Laser Hair Removal to women who are pregnant or breastfeeding nor to patients who have been exposed to the sun, tanning beds, have used self-tanning or photosensitizing products in the past month.
