Karen’s CoolSculpting® journey – the final reveal

Wow, has it really been 12 weeks since I started my CoolSculpting® journey? Check out part 1 and part 2 of my journey if you missed them! Time has absolutely flown by.

To be perfectly honest I never thought that my results would be as impressive as they are.

I did my follow-up assessment with Angela, my CoolSculpting specialist at Project Skin MD, to review the results and discuss the option of additional treatments. We were both elated with the results and I’m more determined than ever to maintain them.

I haven’t changed my lifestyle and my abdomen looks so different from when I began. This has been the easiest body transformation! My clothes fit so much better (some things are even too big now!) and I feel much more confident about how I look.

Many people ask me if I have gone on a diet or started a new workout regimen and I happily respond that my amazing results are from CoolSculpting.

While there is definitely a lot you can do with diet and exercise, CoolSculpting is an incredibly helpful tool for stubborn areas. Since the number of fat cells in our bodies typically becomes fixed in our teenage years, losing or gaining weight generally does not increase or decrease the number of fat cells. Instead, it changes the size of them.

The CoolSculpting fat-freezing procedure actually reduces the number of fat cells in treated areas by about 20% to 25%. These fat cells are naturally processed and eliminated, so they won’t migrate to another area of your body. And, unlike what happens with other procedures, there’s no change to fat cells in untreated areas.
